La mer
Qu'on voit danser le long des golfes clairs
A des reflets d'argent
La mer
Des reflets changeants
Sous la pluie
La mer
Au ciel d'été confond
Ses blancs moutons
Avec les anges si purs
La mer bergère d'azur
Infinie
Voyez
Près des étangs
Ces grands roseaux mouillés
Voyez
Ces oiseaux blancs
Et ces maisons rouillées
La mer
Les a bercés
Le long des golfes clairs
Et d'une chanson d'amour
La mer
A bercé mon coeur pour la vie

Mother's slipstream helps young dolphins to keep pace with the pod. Young dolphins swim alongside their mothers in the open ocean for up to three years. The calves swim about 10 to 30 centimetres away from their mother's body that they get "sucked along". As the larger dolphin swims through the water, she displaces the water in front of her, creating a wake that flows around the calf. This way, the resistance felt by the calf is reduced by 65 percent. This reduction in resistance can also be felt by swimmers who swim close to one another.
